“Cultivate curiosity, for it is the fuel that ignites the flames of knowledge and propels us on extraordinary journeys of discovery.“
Every journey begins with a single step, and for me, it all started one April when I decided to rent a new place. As a content marketing professional for over a decade, I felt a longing for something different, something that would connect me to my family heritage. And there it was, in my genes – textile. This realization sparked a new passion within me.
In my new place, surrounded by the echoes of my family’s lifestyle, I embarked on a quest to discover a profession that resonated with the feeling of fabric itself. Textile became my anchor, pulling me away from the confines of my previous career and into a world of excitement and exploration.
One evening, while inviting my family for dinner, I realized that my love for cooking couldn’t become my main career path. I craved social interactions and the freedom to move, not prolonged hours in front of a screen. It was during this dinner that a missing piece came to light – music. Not just any music, but instrumental tunes that spoke to my soul and brought a sense of inspiration.
As a millennial who grew up with MTV, I understand the power of visuals intertwined with music. But as we age, our taste evolves, and we long for something more sophisticated and inspiring. This desire led me to search for a combination of soul-stirring visuals and soothing music on YouTube, but alas, I couldn’t find exactly what I sought.
Undeterred, I decided to take matters into my own hands. Armed with my eye for design and a newfound passion, I delved into the world of commercial use videos and royalty-free music. It was a challenging journey, but one worth taking.
After leaving my content management business behind in 2020, I set out to find my ikigai – my reason for being. Design became my driving force, be it in interior spaces, clothing, shoes, or any other form.
That’s when the YouTube itch caught me. I started with a video featuring ocean waves and soothing sounds for better sleep. Though my nerves were trembling with fear, I couldn’t suppress my excitement.
“When I got enough confidence, the stage was gone.
When I was sure of losing, I won.
When I needed people the most, they left me.
When I learnt to dry my tears, I found a shoulder to cry on.
When I mastered the skill of hating, someone started loving me from the core of the heart.
And, while waiting for light for hours when I fell asleep, the sun came out.
That’s life!
No matter what you plan, you never know what life has planned for you.
Success introduces you to the world. But failure introduces the world to you.
Always be happy!
Often when we lose hope and think this is the end, God smiles from above and says, “relax sweetheart; it’s just a bend, not the end..! “
Sophia Loren
As Sophia Loren wisely said, “What I was going to lose?” So, I took a leap of faith and published my first video.
And just like that, my YouTube channel was born. It began as a personal endeavor, a place for me to immerse myself in the perfect harmony of music and visuals. But something magical happened – people resonated with it. I gained subscribers, and the watch time grew exponentially. Sophia was right indeed!
Now, I’ve learned to manage my time effectively, balancing my passion for YouTube with my family’s textile heritage. The channel evolved into a platform not just for entertainment but also for a purpose – to protect nature and showcase world heritage sites and natural wonders to our viewers.
As you explore our YouTube videos, you’ll experience the mesmerizing beauty of beaches, forests, and more, all while being transported to a place of focus and relaxation.
But the journey doesn’t end there. In this blog, I’ll share advice on green living, architecture, farming, interior design, fashion, self-care, and so much more. It’s a space where life and inspiration converge while you enjoy our content on YouTube.
So, take care, and welcome to Random Habitant – where art, music, and life intertwine.
Editor in Chief,
